Occupational exposure to Asbestos is a leading cause of mesothelioma and asbestosis. The paper industry in the United States is large, employing several hundred thousands of workers in paper manufacturing factories.
Mesothelioma may not appear until 20 to 50 years after exposure to asbestos. This necessitates the research of old books, catalogs, and technical documentation to determine exactly how asbestos products were used.
